Year 2 News
WELL DONE YEAR TWO!!
Year Two were absolutely incredible in both performances of their play this week. They have worked so hard and I am so proud of them all!
They also sang amazingly at Hyllden Heights and we received so many lovely comments.
This week
In English, we have been writing some letters to Father Christmas and we can't wait to share these with you next week during our writing and mince pie afternoon on Wednesday 17th December.
In Maths, we have been continuing with shapes and counting the faces and vertices.
In Phonics, we have been looking at the /oo/ sound and the alternative spellings for this.
Next week:
It is our last week of the term, so we will be carrying out some fun Christmassy celebrations!
In English, we will be describing Father Christmas
In Maths we will be solving some Christmas problems.
We will also be making Christmas cards, tree decorations and playing some Christmas games.
Important things to remember:
Friday 19th December- Carol Concert at the church.
If you are able to help walk the children to the church for our carol concert, please let any of the Year 2 staff know. Thank you for the offers so far.
Thursday 18th December- Christmas Lunch, party and Christmas jumper day.
Please remember to bring reading folders back every Monday, so that books can be changed.
